Our Chairman was recently invited to New York on the invitation of the UNAOC & UNOCT to speak on a panel chaired by Miguel Moratinos (His High Representative for the UNAOC) and Vladimir Voronkov about his work in tackling hate crime and leveraging interfaith networks for the prevention of hate speech & violent extremism on the global stage.
It’s great to see international recognition for Hashim’s campaign “EliminHate” in such a short space of time. Hashim shared his experiences on the international stage about how the UNAOC can work effectively to tackle #PCVE and use #interfaith dialogue as means to tackling hate speech especially online etc.
His campaign encourages bystander intervention, humanising faith and has been viewed over 50,000 times.
In attendance was Nihal Saad, the Chief of Cabinet of the UNAOC, Nidaa Hussain Abu-ali, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the UN and the Bahraini Representative and various other Foreign dignitaries, Ambassadors as well young leaders from around the world…
